"BALLET FOR EVERYBODY"
The Caston Chamber Ballet, established in 2004
Chamber Ballet company located in Webster Groves, Missouri.
Founded in 2004 by Torris and Shannon Caston, Caston Chamber Ballet provides
exciting performance opportunities for dancers with a passion for ballet. As artists,
these dancers fulfill their creative desires and dance becomes part of their lives forever.
The organization's philosophy, "Ballet for Everybody", reawakens the notion that ballet
encompasses an entire spectrum of performers and support individuals. Dancers,
choreographers, stage crew, costume designers, lighting technicians, and volunteers
devote their time, energy and expertise towards a common goal of presenting dance to
a diverse audience.
The chamber-sized ensemble is designed to bring ballet to smaller communities. Both
classical and contemporary pieces expand the perception of ballet through Community
Outreach and educational programs. St. Louis area collaborations have included The
St. Louis Cultural Flamenco Society, Company in Residence at McKinley CLA St.
Louis Public School, St. Louis Dance Festival Showcase, and National Dance Week
at Union Station.
CCB recognizes each dancer's individual lifestyle, talents, and strengths, and ensures
their success by fashioning choreography appropriately. The result is promotion of self
confidence and personal growth as part of a positive company.
Extending art into the community through performances and workshops, Caston
Chamber Ballet is committed to the preservation of ballet traditions, enhancing
experiences of audiences, and building support for the future. Promoting the art of
ballet through out St. Louis enriches the lives of all.
